Dr. Valley is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist. After graduating medical school, Dr. Valley served in the Air Force, where he served eleven years, including a Fellowship in Pain Management at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. He has practiced medicine for almost 40 years, the last 15 of which have been in the Johnson City area.

Chronic pain is a complicated condition, affecting everyone differently. Depending upon the specific condition, nerve blocks and other injections might be appropriate. In most cases, physical therapy and home exercises benefit the patient. In a small group of patients, opioid medications may be appropriate. Our goal at Imperial Pain Specialists is to assess every patient and coordinate a program that will decrease the patient’s pain and improve their function. Ideally, a significant portion of the pain will be controlled, but it is impossible to completely eliminate a patient’s pain. Using medications, and coordinating home exercise programs, injections, and consultation with experts such as counselors, our goal is to work with our patients to minimize their pain, while maximizing their ability to function.

Ashley is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing at ETSU and she earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing at King University. Ashley strives to create a safe environment for her patients to comfortably address their concerns and healthcare goals. She
believes in empowering her patients, through both education and support, to help them achieve their own personal goals toward improving their health. Tn addition to her Nursing career, Ashley is a full time wife and mother; being blessed with four precious children, which keep her active in all aspects of her life.

My name is Shapreesa Gallsher , | graduated in 2018 from Ross College Medical Information Billing and Office Administration Program and attained my Certified Billing and Coding Specialists Certification. | have worked for Imperial Pain Specialists since 2018. We are very dedicated to helping our patients in any way that we can with a friendly atmosphere, confidentiality, and a hope of creating a lasting and honest relationship.

Tashia is a Registered Medical Assistant with over 29 years in healthcare with experience in delivering quality care to patients. She is known for being a caring and reliable person with a reputation for building a strong rapport between the medical provider and patients. Tashia is committed to making patients more informed and comfortable during their visit.

Paula Hobbs is a Medical Assistant here at imperial Pain Specialists with an extended history in healthcare. She received an Associates Degree from Northeast State College with a degree in Medical Administration with a certification for Medical Coding.She enjoys working with patients and creating a trusting relationship with them.
